Welcome!

Hi, my name is Amara. Thanks for visiting my blog!

I should say upfront: I’m a fictional character. But I act like I’m real. This blog is written from the perspective of the main character of the movie “Eros & Amara Sol.”

I’m so excited about putting onto screen a life-changing experience I had! πŸŽ¬πŸ‘πŸ˜„ Again, THANK YOU for visiting! Below I give ya a lay of the land. And a quick rundown about me.

(SIDE NOTE: Most of the links are to permanent pages. Feel free to ignore ’em.)

“About Me” (Super Quick)

I feel blessed that I’m doing what I love: dance. Full disclosure: you might call a gypsy bohemian.

Me. I looooove the bohemian way!

I started this blog because I had lost that identity. Got an accounting degree. That’s what you’re supposed to do! Money. Status. External success. Despite being miserable.

There’s a reason behind our feelings. I know now not to ignore our feelings but listen to them. Or at least ask why that feeling is there.

My life changed when I risked my career to do what was in my heart. To pursue my life-long dream to dance professionally on stage. Despite being 30!

So, I started this blog to record what I learned. And what I want to continue to learn.

What This Blog Is About: Marriage of Body & Soul

Between the time I left the sex industry at 25 and getting my accounting degree at 30, I put my body aside. More important was mind. And what people thought of me. Oh, and the “soul”? Ha! Fiction. Besides, who has time for things that renew you from within? Hehe

I’ve learned we’re souls first. The body isn’t an “enemy.” We can marry them till death do them part–when we point our heart in the right place.

And so, I have sections in this blog: “On Soul and Body,” “Eros,” and “Following the Heart.” Those are the three themes that changed my life.

FIRST SECTION: On Body & Soul

In the FIRST SECTION, “On Soul and Body,” I explore what soul is. Is there only body? If not, how do soul and body interact? Is it possible to marry them?

WARNING: I differ from Descartes, who thought mind and body were as separate as earth and sun.

SECOND SECTION: Eros

I learned one effective way to marry the two: through soulful sex, or heart-centered sex or spiritual sex. I explore that in the SECOND SECTION called “Eros.”

There I share my personal diaries (or adventures) about the soul of sex. I also share the Indigenous culture I learned about spiritual sex from. And I share sex skills they taught me that you can use, too.

THIRD SECTION: Follow The Heart

The THIRD SECTION, “On the Heart,” is about following your heart over following esteem. What do I mean by heart? What does it mean to follow it? Often it means doing the right thing even when it’s not expedient, popular, comfortable or easy.

And because I love being a bohemian so much, I attempted a bohemian “philosophy” in this section “On The Heart.” This includes the idea that life is more fulfilling when we create rather than consume. And how we live in a culture that teaches us happiness lies in consuming more.

Again, these were the three lessons I learned when I auditioned for the show I’m in now.

INTRO & BLOG

Oh, and I should say I have an “INTRO,” too. It’s called “About Me.” In case you’re curious, I reflect (for myself) where I came from. I also have a “Blog” section for my latest writings.

Keep in Touch!

Again, I’m so glad you’re here. Please keep in touch! Let’s marry body and soul together. Woohoo!

If you hit the “Follow” button, you’ll know when I publish something new. Obviously no spam. Just honest-to-goodness content on marrying body and soul. Or in other words, seeking “The Beautiful.”

Feel free to contact me and follow me on social media (Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter or Facebook) too! Thanks again for visiting. I really do hope you keep in touch. Kisses!
